Here is a look at what you need in your fall wardrobe from New York fashion shows.
Slip Dress
Who can forget Kate Moss in that iconic dress in 1993 at an Elite Model Agency party? This year you will be able to get that look as slip dresses are making a come back.
Slip dresses were seen on the runways of Diane Von Furstenberg that featured see through inserts, Tommy Hilfiger had a more vintage effect and Narciso Rodriquez went for sequin covered, all black dresses.
Thigh High Boots
There were plenty of thigh high boots on the runways that came in plenty of styles. Creature of the Wind went for brown ones with a 70s touch, Lacoste opted for blue and Opening Ceremony rocked black ones with a punk edge to them.
Cover Up In Tights
Tights have become the next must have accessory for the fall. Mesh style tights were seen by Jeremy Scott, Anna Sui gave us floral tights, Marc Jacobs walked striped tights and Alexander Wang had tights with slogans on.
Play With Suede Skirts
Suede skirts are fun and this fall there are plenty of ways you can style them. You can tuck in a sweater like A.P.C. You can be a little daring and go for a same fabric suit like seen by Michael Kors or make it look completely vintage like Coach 1941.
Outerwear Makes A Statement
If you want to make a statement this fall then focus on your outerwear. There are plenty of options this season with coats, duffle coats and bomber jackets to choose from.
Gloves To Your Elbow
Gloves are a must have accessory for the fall, but there is one rule if you want to stay on trend. The gloves must be above the elbow.
Marc Jacobs showed purple lace gloves, Delpozo showed pink leather gloves with leaf and gold flower details and Rodarte showed white leather that had pleated skin inserts.
